Hello Otters,

Not a good day to try to hold a swim meet! As we attempted to set up today, it became apparent that it just wasn’t going to happen tonight. Our pool was full, our parking lot was flooded and the weather did not seem to want to let up in time for us to squeeze in the meet tonight. The conditions tonight presented several logistical and safety concerns.

The leaders of both teams contemplated rescheduling the meet for Saturday morning but ultimately decided it was in the best interest for both teams to cancel the meet entirely this year. There are several variables that led us to this decision; timing, participation, volunteers and the timing of Meet of Champs. Today’s meet will not be rescheduled.

As we have communicated earlier, Meet of Champs and the All Star Meets are next week. You must qualify to participate in these meets. The declaration cutoff is tomorrow, 6/21 at noon. Please indicate whether your swimmers are available or not available. With this data we will build the qualified swimmer list and communicate to those families who qualify by the EoD Friday.

So, what’s next?

• Tomorrow, we will be holding the modified “day after meet” practice schedule (See below)
• Friday is our team party from 9-11am
