Hello Otter Families,

It has been a great start to the season! We are so happy to have our veteran families back and welcome many new faces this year. I want to extend a big thank you to all of our volunteers who made our first meet against Pine Mill Ranch run so well. As a team we did not come out on top, but we had many swimmers post personal best times which is always great to see! The kids have been working hard at practice on stroke technique, and it showed on Tuesday night. You can find the final meet results attached to this email and ribbons will be available for pick up at practice tomorrow.

We have had some questions about the items below so hopefully this email will address any issues or concerns:

HEAT SHEETS - This season heat sheets will not be available to view in the Swimtopia App until we are on deck and about to start the meet. That is a new WHALe policy so if you don't see anything in your Swimtopia App earlier in the day like you have in past years, don't panic. 

EVENT ENTRIES - All swimmers will swim freestyle and backstroke for meets they attend. For relays, IM, breaststroke, and butterfly we have a limited number of heats so those entries will primarily be based on times but we try very hard to give as many kids as possible the opportunity to swim as many events as possible throughout the season.

MEET DECLARATIONS - It is so important that you declare your swimmer properly for the meets. If you do not go into your account and make a selection your child will NOT be included on the heat sheet. If you run into a situation where you have said your child will be at the meet and then cannot attend please let us know ASAP so we can make any necessary changes. If your swimmer is marked as attending a meet and then does not show up that effects more than just your kid and they will not be put on any relay teams for the remainder of the season.

Monday, 6/2 - Deadline to declare for the 6/4 meet

Wednesday, 6/4 - Home Meet vs. Cross Creek

Thursday, 6/5 - Spirit Night at Mandito's, 5pm-9pm
