Dear Otter Families,

We are excited announce that the application for this year's Otter Squad is now open!

Before diving into the details, we want to remind everyone that swim team registration is still ongoing, and we have spots remaining. This season our team is open to all swimmers — there is no longer a residency requirement for Cinco II. If you have friends, neighbors, or classmates who might be interested in joining, please invite them! Swimming is always more fun with friends.

Quick Reminder: Please join us for the Parent Meeting on Saturday, April 12 at 2:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the upcoming season, ask questions, and meet other families. The meeting takes place at the Cinco Ranch Lake House (25202 Springwood Lake Dr.).

About the Otter Squad

Otter Squad is a group of volunteer swimmers chosen by the coaches and board to promote team spirit, sportsmanship, and provide hands-on assistance to younger swimmers during practices. Participants must be 11 years or older with no history of discipline concerns. 

Job Description:

1. Swimmer must be age 11 or older.
2. Swimmer must be able to attend 1-3 practices a week on consistent days (i.e., every Monday, every Tuesday, etc.).
3. Swimmer will be assisting with the younger swimmers during the 6 and under and 7/8 swim practices during April/May evening practices and June morning practices and at each swim meet.
4. Swimmer must represent the Otters and demonstrate team spirit at practices and swim meets.
5. Swimmer must be willing to assist our new and younger swimmers during swim meets by helping them understand the process and cheering them on during races as best as possible, knowing they too have their own races.
6. Otter Squad members demonstrate great character and model sportsmanship for our swimmers and swimmers from other teams.
